A "well-respected and highly-valued" social worker has died with Covid-19, it has been announced. , external
The British Association of Social Workers (BASW) said Muhammad Islam worked supporting young people leaving care at Birmingham Children's Trust.
A crowdfunding page set up by his family said he was “always the first to volunteer for a task” and “the last to leave the office”.
BASW chief executive Ruth Allen said: “Social workers form a tight-knit community and this tragic news has hugely affected us. We send our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Muhammad.”
A seven-year-old boy, inspired by the fundraising efforts of Captain Tom Moore, has raised more than £700 for the NHS by walking laps of his garden.
University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) said George had completed 350 laps of his garden - a total of 5km - so far raising £789.
He said: "When I heard about Captain Tom Moore walking 100 laps in his garden, I wanted to do something as well."
Mum Rebecca added: "We're super proud of him for wanting to raise money for UHNM Charity's Coronavirus appeal, especially as he completed it in the rain!"
Telecoms engineers have been talking about how they're being threatened and harassed by people who believe they're working on 5G, which has been wrongly linked to coronavirus.
Jake, 24, from Birmingham told Radio 1's Newsbeat: "Everyone I've spoken to says they're having issues.
"Me and my team have had people shouting, 'You're killing everyone, stop putting in the 5G', mainly making us feel uncomfortable., asking us how we are key workers and why we are doing what we're doing.
"There is that worry every day when you get in the van that something could happen - but you just have to get on with it and keep everyone safe in the meantime."
West Midlands Police says the crimes are "being taken extremely seriously due to the risk to the public that they pose".

Paramedics in the West Midlands say they fear people are dying at home unnecessarily because they’re too scared to go to hospital.
In one of the worst cases, a 50-year-old woman with Covid-19 symptoms was found dead in her house in Birmingham at the weekend.
One of the paramedics called to the case, Corrie Martin, says the lady was self-isolating and her family couldn't get in contact with her.
She added: "If you would call 999 normally for chest pains, shortness of breath, difficulty in breathing, diabetic emergencies, if you’ve fallen, if you’ve got bones that don’t look like they should look, call 999."
The lack of equipment to protect frontline staff from coronavirus has been a major concern.

Thousands viewed Owain Wyn Evans's tweet which led to him launching an appeal for a Big House Band to lift spirits during lockdown.

Ahead of tonight's planned clap for the NHS, Staffordshire farmer Francesca Froggatt found a novel way to show her support - by decorating her flock of sheep.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a women was stabbed in Birmingham.
The woman, in her 30s, was taken to hospital suffering wounds to her neck and body after the attack near a bus stop in Wood End, Erdington at about 09:15, police say.
She remains in hospital in a stable condition.
A man aged 54 remains in police custody for questioning, said West Midlands Police.

Car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) says it will restart production gradually at its factory in Solihull and at its engine manufacturing plant in Wolverhampton next month.
It will also reopen its facilities in Slovakia and Austria.
The company says the restart of other factories, including Castle Bromich and Halewood, will be confirmed in due course.
The company says the health and wellbeing of its employees is its priority.
It says it will adopt strict social distancing measures across its business, and is currently evaluating a number of different measures to protect and reasssure its workforce.
JLR says it will continue to monitor the Covid-19 situation and will follow the guidance of the authorities in the markets in which it operates.
Aston Martin has said it will also resume production next month.
The six-person limit at funerals angered mourners who abused staff, the council says.

Birmingham has seen a 42% drop in air pollution during the coronavirus lockdown, data shows.
In recent years, the city has been among the worst in Europe and is due to see a clean air zone introduced later this year.
Analysis by the University of York has revealed levels of key pollutant nitrogen dioxide, which mostly comes from combustion engines in vehicles, have been significantly reduced in the past few weeks.
Levels have dropped by as much as 48% in Leeds and 36% in London.
Professor James Lee, of the National Centre for Atmospheric Science at the University of York, said the falls began before the official lockdown started, then decreased quite quickly before levelling out at the lower rate.
"What we've seen since the lockdown is a reduction in nitrogen dioxide, which is mainly from vehicles, particularly diesel vehicles, quite uniformly in most places and certainly at sites near to roads," he added.
It is "unrealistic" to expect normal life to return soon, says the government's chief medical adviser.
