There have been two carjackings in Cannock this week involving masked men.
The first happened just after 14:15 on Monday, after a motorist pulled in to a lay-by off Lime Lane and Wyrley Lane.
Staffordshire Police said when three or four men dragged the driver out and attacked him, before driving off with his car and their own.
The second incident happened at the same spot, just before 19:00 on Wednesday and this time it involved up to six men, armed with baseball bats.
Again, they attacked the driver and pulled them out of their car.

The Port Vale players aren't getting enough time on the training pitch, because of the number of games at the moment, the manager has said.
John Askey is now looking for "a week where we're not doing anything, so that people can recover".
Port Vale have suffered four league losses in a row and Askey said: "There's very little you can do in training other than making sure everybody's as rested as much as possible."

The Royal Stoke University Hospital says it has reached a point where it has very little capacity in its critical care unit and at times it has had none at all.
It means some seriously ill patients have had to be transferred to other hospitals.
The chief executive of the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, Tracy Bullock, said the positive news was that case numbers "do seem to be coming down".
She added: "We hope that that in the not too distant future will translate into lower numbers in our critical care unit as well."

About 200 staff at Heineken's cider brewery in Hereford are being balloted on strike action.
The Unite union said it was taking the action because the company was asking staff to sign new contracts which it said "would result in huge pay reductions for many workers".
Heineken said it was making the changes to make sure its pay packages were "attractive for colleagues, sustainable for future growth and aligned to market practices".
It said it was disappointed discussions with the union had broken down without agreement.
The factory in Hereford makes Strongbow and Bulmers.
Quote MessageUnite and Heineken have had a good relationship for many years, but the company should be in no doubt that the union will do everything in its power to stop these attacks on our members’ contracts."

The Wye Valley Brewery is looking at partnerships with local takeaways, so its pubs can fulfill tier two requirements to serve "substantial meals".
Its founder, Peter Amor, said pubs that don't serve meals has been "let down" under the restrictions due to be imposed next week and argued they are "probably a lot safer than supermarkets".
The brewery operates eight pubs and Mr Amor said staff had worked very hard to make them safe for customers, but faced having to stay shut unless they can serve meals with their beer.
Quote MessageWe're trying to explore what a substantial meal is and whether we can tie up with another supplier, whether it's fish and chips or curry or pizzas so we can fulfill the requirements."

Read MoreA move from tier three to tier two restrictions across Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire could be a "realistic" hope before Christmas, according to West Midlands Mayor Andy Street.
The government has said the tiers will be reviewed on 16 December.
Mr Street's comments were made at a regional coronavirus briefing on Friday afternoon.
In Warwickshire, restrictions have jumped from tier one pre-lockdown to tier three and the leaders of two district councils have written to the government in protest.
Coventry and Warwickshire were "much closer to the tier two threshold," than other parts of the region, said Mr Street.
“It has been said by ministers that that was a finely balanced call so I think it is still realistic for that area of the region to hope there will be a change pre-Christmas.
"But it will all still be dependent on the five indicators and them continuing to move in the right direction.”
