    CCTV pictures have been released by police after two dogs were untied and stolen from outside a shop.

    The two black Labradors were secured by their owner outside the Marks & Spencer store in Beam Street, Nantwich, on Saturday evening, Cheshire Police said., external

    Officers said they wanted to speak to the two men in the CCTV footage about the theft.

    Det Sgt Vicki Shelton said: "The dogs’ owner is understandably deeply upset. Pets are part of the family and having them stolen is a harrowing and distressing experience."

  3. Pick-up driver carrying 'dangerous' pile of items stoppedpublished at 09:46 British Summer Time 29 March 2021

    Police have put out images of a vehicle driven by a provisional licence holder, adding the words "just when you thought you had seen it all".

    Central Motorway Police Group spoke to the driver of the pick-up in Staffordshire to warn about the "dangerous" load being carried, which was piled far higher than the vehicle.

    A couple who met online during the pandemic will get married this morning as the stay-at-home Covid restrictions order comes to an end.

    Weddings are on again, attended by up to six people, and Dwain Daley, from Birmingham, and Nyasha Pitt, from Coventry, will tie the knot at Coventry Register Office today.

    Having met in July, the pair said they had spent only four days apart and Mr Daley said they were eager to marry.

    "I definitely want us to be married and I do not care if it is a small ceremony because as long as we get the ceremony done and we are married, we are together," he said.
