  1. Weather lookahead: Warning for strong windspublished at 08:45 British Summer Time 4 May 2021

    The bulk of the weekend rain has passed but this morning we can expect a bit of a battering from the wind instead.

    There's a yellow weather warning in place for strong winds, mainly affecting Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire.

    That should calm down a bit later, however it will breezy enough for it to still feel quite cold and we haven't seen the last of that rain yet so expect showers.

  2. Dozens of firefighters respond to nightclub blazepublished at 08:17 British Summer Time 4 May 2021

    About 35 firefighters were at the scene of a fire at a derelict nightclub overnight.

    West Midlands Fire Service were called to the blaze at the Arena Nightclub on the Hagley Road in Stourbridge at about 22:00 BST on Monday.

    Nobody was injured in the fire, which was extinguished shortly before midnight.

    If the jet hoses do not work the 300-tonne fatberg will have to be chipped away at with spades.
