    Birmingham's Clean Air Zone, which charges high-polluting vehicles entering the city centre, has come into force

    The scheme, which aims to reduce pollution, uses number plate recognition cameras to capture images of vehicles driven within the perimeter of the inner ring road.

    The most polluting will be charged, with fees for cars, taxis and vans set at £8 while HGVs will trigger a £50 fee.

    A 14-year-old has died after a fatal stabbing..

    Police are hunting up to seven people thought to be involved in the attack on College Road, Kingstanding, Birmingham, at about 19:30 BST.

    The attackers ran off towards Chester Road after the stabbing and detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

    "Another young life has been taken far too soon," Det Insp Ranj Sangha, from West Midlands Police, said.
