This is the hard part. Easing Concorde 216 into its new home.

They wheeled her in. And out. And back in again.

The tail keeps poking over the top of the trees as she moves.

Concorde 216 has been parked on a runway in Filton since its farewell flight in 2003.

Now it will be taking shelter in a purpose-built hangar where it will become the centrepiece of a £16m museum, called Bristol Aerospace Centre.

We've all moved a bit further down the road now.

Concorde 216 is outside the hangar as they get ready to manoeuvre her in.

Cars, vans and lorries are stopping with one motorist shouting across to us, "they kept that quiet!"

    Concorde on the move

It was an amazing sight to see.

A small "tug" pulled Concorde 216 - the last of the supersonic jets to fly - from its temporary home for so many years on the Filton tarmac.

It slowly moved to the disused runway. But then the real treat happened.

Instead of moving along the main part of the tarmac, she moved to the nearside where all the photographers were stood.

Many years ago I missed the last flight. But I was hugely glad to see this.

    Speedometer

The number of people in Britain caught driving while already banned has increased by 7.5%, according to figures obtained by BBC Radio 5 live.

In total, 109,660 motorists were banned from driving, with the youngest being 12 and the oldest 94.

Gloucestershire's Chief Constable, who is also the road policing lead for the National Police Chiefs Council, said the police service was running education campaigns alongside using technology to help catch those who flout the law.

Generally some people who are disqualified will also be involved in other types of criminality and that might have contributed to them being banned. But they'll be people who are driving without insurance because they can't get insurance, because they're disqualified drivers, and so that immediately poses a risk to all of us.

It's a big day for the last Concorde which flew as it's on the move once again ...this time into a new home.

It has been outside for the past decade, in Filton, but has a new purpose-built hangar being prepared for it.

  12. 'Sexting' dangers being discussedpublished at 08:12 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2017

    Marvin Rees and Sue Mountstevens

Bristol's mayor has joined forces with Avon and Somerset Police to warn school children over the dangers of "sexting".

Marvin Rees and the Police and Crime Commissioner, Sue Mountstevens, say children are sharing explicit images with friends without realising the potential impact if the pictures go further.

They are calling for compulsory Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) lessons in schools to combat the rise of so-called sexting via social media.

    Quote Message

They're sending intimate images to what they think are their friends. Once you press that send button you've no idea where that's going.

Sue Mountstevens, Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner

    Quote Message

It's about giving them the tools to protect themselves, to have good quality relationships, but also to protect them online.

A rehabilitation pool for injured water birds is to be built with money raised to help treat a swan that was shot through the head with a crossbow bolt.

The male swan, known as George, was injured when he was shot in Pittville Park, Cheltenham, last month.

More than £6,000 was raised to help pay for his treatment and for a reward to catch the person responsible.

Some of the cash will help to fund a purpose built pool at the wildlife rescue centre near Tewkesbury where he was treated.
