Young patients at Bristol Children's Hospital are getting ukulele lessons to help brighten up their stay.

The four-stringed instrument's proving a hit on the wards - not least because it's small enough to be played in bed.

A local shop donated 26 ukuleles recently - and the hospital receives others from a music charity.

It means some children can even take their ukuleles home after being discharged.
