Plans to expand a quarry near Salisbury could be given the go-ahead later.
Wiltshire Council's deciding on whether to approve the expansion of Brickworth Quarry at Whiteparish, external.
If it gets the green light, the site will be extended by more than 20 hectares (49 acres) across an area which includes ancient woodland.
The Woodland Trust says that among the species lost if the project goes head would be "33 Ancient Woodland indicator species, seven Red Data Book invertebrate species, and 24 nationally scarce species, as well as populations of grass snakes, common lizards, and slow worms throughout the site".
