    This is the scene on East Road in Cambridge, where work to repair a burst water main is causing heavy congestion and tailbacks.

    One lane remains closed, but Cambridge Water says it expects the work to be completed this afternoon.

    The warnings cover the River Kym at Kimbolton, Bury Brook and Alconbury and Ellington Brooks.

    The agency says it will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.

    Jesus College, Cambridge, says it acknowledges the contribution made by students in raising the "complex" question of the rightful location of a Bronze Cockerel artwork - known as an Okukor.

     The historic Benin sculpture, external was removed from display following a student campaign.

    Work to repair a burst main on Cambridge's East Road is expected to continue until this afternoon.

    A spokesman for Cambridge Water, external says: “We appreciate this will cause inconvenience and would like to apologise for any disruption. We’re working to get everything back to normal as quickly as possible and thank people for their patience.”

    Firefighters say this car fire outside homes in Peterborough last night was started deliberately, external.

    A crew from Dogsthorpe was called to the fire on Cromwell Road, Millfield. just after 23:00.

    Police are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary in Burwell on Monday night.

    A woman in her 80s was threatened by four masked men, who stole cash and jewellery after entering her home on Isaacson Road, between 21:30 and 22:30.

    Officers say one of the men is believed to be in his 60s and the other three in their late teens or 20s.

    Jesus College said the Benin bronze sculpture had been taken down from its hall and it would hold discussions about its future, "including the question of repatriation".   

    The college's student union passed a motion in February calling for the artwork, which it said was stolen by British forces in 1897, to be returned to Nigeria.

    Cambridgeshire's hospitals are braced for a third strike by junior doctors in their contract dispute with the government.

    The walkout began at 08:00 and is set to last 48 hours, but medics will once again provide emergency cover.

    It comes after ministers announced they would impose the contract last month.
