    More than 200 people ignored the rain to gather outside Cambridge's Guildhall yesterday evening for a vigil following the Orlando nightclub attack.

    I filmed this during a moment of silence as people remembered those who died.

    A statement from the Liberal Democrats has called the allegations of abuse against Sir Clement Freud "horrific".

    It said: "We are desperately sorry to learn that lives have been ruined by a man whose public face was so greatly at odds to his true character."

    He entered parliament after wining the Isle of Ely by-election with a majority of 1,470 in 1973, and, following boundary changes, went on to represent North East Cambridgeshire until 1987.

    "I've already suffered across nearly 40 years. It's not simply to be labelled as depression or mental illness, this is disempowerment, self-destructiveness and grief."

    The words of a woman who claims she was sexually abused as a girl by Sir Clement Freud while he was a Cambridgeshire MP.

    The Liberal politician was an MP in Cambridgeshire in the 1970s and 1980s and died in 2009 aged 84.

    In the ITV documentary, Exposure: Abused and Betrayed - A Life Sentence, due to be broadcast tonight at 23:05, he is accused of abusing two girls between the late 1940s and 1970s.

    His widow Jill Freud, 89, said she was "deeply saddened and profoundly sorry for what has happened to these women".

    One of the women who says she was abused by Sir Clement Freud says she met the Liberal politician in 1971 at her family home as a "lonely, neglected and socially isolated" 11-year-old.

    Two years later, after he was elected as MP for the Isle of Ely, he would take her on trips to Parliament and his home, and would kiss her on the mouth and hug her.

    Four years later in June 1978 when she was 18, the woman, who wants to remain anonymous, alleges Freud came over to her parents' flat and "brutally and perfunctorily" raped her.

    She told the ITV Exposure programme: "I live in constant terror that I'll be found out, exposed."

    The late broadcaster and Cambridgeshire MP, Sir Clement Freud, has been accused of abusing two girls between the late 1940s and 1970s.

    Sylvia Woosley, who first met Freud when she was 10 and later went to live with him, told the ITV Exposure, external programme he abused her for years.

    A second woman, who wants to remain anonymous, claimed he abused her as a child and raped her when she was 18.

    Freud was Liberal MP for North East Cambridgeshire until 1987, having been first elected when it was the Isle of Ely seat in 1973.
