Cambridge University Botanical Gardens, external has announced it is to reopen to the public on Tuesday, 16 June, but with new procedures and rules.
Entry will be by pre-booked tickets only (including for Friends of the gardens) in order to control the number of visitors on site.
Social distancing and hygiene measures will be put in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Tickets will be released at 10:00 each Thursday.
"We know there will be a high demand and you may be disappointed if tickets are unavailable for your preferred day," the website said.

A Cambridge-based pharmaceutical company claims it can now supply two billion doses of a potential coronavirus vaccine, which is double the number it announced last month.
AstraZeneca, external has signed two new deals, including one backed by Microsoft, external computer system founder Bill Gates, allowing it to double production of the vaccine being developed by Oxford University.
Pascal Soriot, from AstraZeneca, said the firm should know by September if it works.
"It is still on track but of course what we cannot predict is the speed the disease will [spread] in the UK," he said.
"On the one hand we want to see the disease decline, but on the other it will create an issue because we may not be able to show the efficacy of the vaccine."

Technology aimed at keeping public transport passengers safe from coronavirus is being rolled out across a fleet of Cambridgeshire coaches.
Greys of Ely, external has teamed up with transport operator Zeelo, external to install a system which claims to clean 99% of air particles on vehicles.
The coach firm's managing director Richard Grey said: "Above your head the vehicle is fitted with an Eco-3 air purifying unit. So that means it increases the oxygen rate in the vehicle and helps sanitise the air within.
"The unit will recirculate the air within three to five minutes so you are constantly supplied with fresh air."

A drive-through coronavirus testing facility is opening today at Milton Park and Ride, external near Cambridge.
It will initially run on a trial basis, the government said.
A similar facility at the East of England Showground, external in Peterborough opened in April.
The local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group hopes the two centres will make it easier for people who are showing symptoms to get tested in Cambridgeshire.

Many athletes have had to adapt to training in lockdown.

Jamaican bobsleigh team members Shanwayne Stephens (white T-shirt) and Nimroy Turgott (grey T-shirt), who are based in Peterborough, have had to adapt during the coronavirus pandemic in preparation for the 2022 Winter Oympics in Beijing.

Water companies are urging people to limit use of hoses and sprinklers as more people have been at home during the coronavirus lockdown, particularly with the recent dry weather and rivers running low.
Mr Browne said: "It is a real, real problem and I've been talking to different water groups like the Cam Valley Forum and Water Resources East which represents all the stakeholders in the water industry.
"I'm arranging a meeting with the water minister Rebecca Pow because what we do need is a strong water strategy to make sure that we don't extract more water than is sustainable in the long run."

Police said that items including personal protective equipment (PPE) have been taken from cars parked during the day at beauty spots around Peterborough.
The force said the five incidents, which included thefts of handbags and wallets, happened last week in Kings Dyke, Crown Lakes, Wansford, Castor and Thorpe Meadows.
Amanda Large from the force said: "The warm weather and easing of lockdown measures has seen more people making the most of the county’s beauty spots
"While we are doing all we can to catch those responsible for these crimes, I am urging members of the public to help us make it harder for thieves by not leaving valuables in their vehicles."
