"The pilot of the downed F-15C Eagle from the 48th Fighter Wing has been located, and confirmed deceased," said a spokesperson.
"The name of the pilot will not be released until all next of kin notifications have been made.
"This is a tragic loss for the 48th Fighter Wing community, and our deepest condolences go out to the pilot’s family and the 493rd Fighter Squadron."

The rise in daily Covid-19 deaths in the region's hospitals has dropped to its lowest level since the start of the pandemic - one casualty.
The death was recorded by Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Trust, according to the government's latest daily figures issued this afternoon.
It brings the total number of deaths in the region to 3,867.
The total number of deaths across the UK, externalis 41,736.

The West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the general hospital in Bury St Edmunds, about 15 miles from RAF Lakenheath, has tweeted its support for the local USAF community.

The coastguard says it is continuing to coordinate searches off Flamborough Head
A coastguard helicopter is working with other aircraft in the area, while the RNLI lifeboats from Bridlington and Scarborough continue to assist with the search along with other vessels.
Earlier, wreckage from the F-15C was found but the pilot has yet to be located.

The F-15C which crashed today was from the 48th Fighter Wing which is based at RAF Lakenheath.
The 48th Fighter Wing has operated from there since 1960 and has more than 4,500 active-duty military members.
Jets were seen taking off and landing from the base throughout the day.
Search and rescue teams have located the aircraft but are still searching for the pilot 74 nautical miles off the Flamborough Head on the East Yorkshire coast.
Police in Essex had a surprise when they stumbled across what they thought was a horse in distress.
PCSOs were patrolling in Wickford and on closer inspection realised a mare was actually giving birth.
The mare gave birth to a healthy male foal who they named Boris.
The officers reported that "the owners were very happy with their new addition and also happy to give a bit of a background on the mare and horses in general!".

Starting with a single giant teddy in a deckchair on Good Friday and making the news when they were mistaken for a charity donation, the St Albans Teds have been going strong for more than 60 days and have now raised more than £5,000 for charity.
Sarah Shreeves and her family have arranged the teddies in different scenes every day during lockdown outside their house in Homewood Road, with cuddly toys taking part in activities including fishing, a scout camp, a Halloween party and playing board games.
This weekend, they were joined by St Albans MP Daisy Cooper, who said that with so many Pride marches cancelled this month, they staged their own teddy pride event.
The MP is a trustee of the Ask For Clive, external inclusivity campaign which supported the teds, along with Herts Chalk Walk, external and St Albans City FC.
The Shreeves family have been asking people to donate to their fundraising page "if the bears have made you smile" and their efforts have now raised £5,325 for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
The ship, measuring 1,312ft (400m), completed its maiden voyage in Essex.
