    The Police and Crime Commissioner, David Jamieson, has released a statement reacting to the government's Spending Review announcement yesterday.

    He writes: "The chancellor's announcement does not change the fact that West Midlands Police has been hit harder than any other force in the country, that we have had cuts of £130m since 2010 and have had to make difficult choices as a result."

    A decision on whether to build a large solar farm in south Warwickshire has been deferred.

    TGC Renewables Ltd want to build a 5.5 hectare solar farm between Long Itchington and Bascote. 

    Local people say it's the wrong location for such a large solar farm. 

    The council says a decision will now be made in the New Year.

    The makers of Warwickshire's Berkswell Cheese are among those competing for the World Champion Cheese title at the NEC. 

    Competitors from 32 countries have submitted entries to be judged at the Good Food Show.

    A nurse, who carried out her duties while under the influence of drugs at the George Eliot Hospital, has been struck off.

    It follows a four-day hearing relating to charges during her time at the Nuneaton NHS Trust and Northampton General Hospital.
