    The Sky Blues have announced they will be releasing nine players at the end of the season

    Nathan Clarke, Kevin Foley, Vladimir Gadzhev, Andy Rose, Ruben Lameiras and Marcus Tudgay will all be released following the expiry of their contracts. 

    The club will also not be renewing the contracts of Kyle Spence, Jack Finch and Jacob Whitmore from the Under-23 squad. 

    Defender Jordan Turnbull and Striker Stuart Beavon have the option to leave the club before the end of July 2017, due to existing clauses in their current contracts.

    Liberty House, the firm that bought Coventry company Covpress from administration recently, has completed a £100m deal to acquire the Speciality Steels division of Tata Steel UK.

    The company has promised to create 300 jobs and make multi million-pound investments to secure the future of five plants.

    It's "Super Tuesday" for political reporters Rob Mayor and I who are speaking to all six of the West Midlands mayor candidates on the campaign trail ahead of Thursday's election.

    So far I've met the UKIP, Liberal Democrat and Conservative candidates standing.

    UKIP's Pete Durnell is in Dudley with his party leader Paul Nuttal and say they're confident about support in the area.

    One of the key tasks for the new "metro mayor" in this region will be selling the skills and talents of the West Midlands to the world, especially in a post-Brexit Britain, says a group of young voters.

    They were keen to talk about the benefits of one of the most creative, diverse and young cities in the country.  

    On Thursday, six people will bid to become the region's first "metro mayor", taking on powers over economic development, education and skills, housing and transport.

    A pub in the Warwickshire village of Dordon could be run by a community group if there's an expression of interest, says the borough council.

    The Cuckoo's Rest was listed as an asset of community value last year, which means the owner must notify North Warwickshire Borough Council if they want to sell, which they have done., external

    Community groups now have six weeks to show an interest to bid for the business.

    BBC Midlands Today has launched its new set.

    Mary Rhodes and Nick Owen will be presenting the West Midlands regional programme in a revamped Birmingham studio which has a new sofa and six new screens.

    Organisers of the Earlsdon Festival say around 10,000 people attended the annual event in Coventry yesterday.

    Outgoing chair of the committee, Nigel Lee, said: "It takes around 100 volunteers to run the event on the day so we're always looking for people to join the committee and get involved.

    "Plans are already under way for next year's event and the new chair is really enthused to keep the festival going."

    The father of a murdered Warwickshire man says his son was "let down by the system".

    Morgan Hehir, 20, was stabbed to death in October 2015 as he walked through a Nuneaton park. His father Colin says the circumstances surrounding the death need investigating to ascertain whether everything "could have been done to prevent" it.

    Shortly before the stabbing, Morgan's murderer had been released from prison having served four years for manslaughter. 

    Under guidelines, he was freed with no checks or supervision in place but was arrested three times for violence prior to Morgan's death.
