    Trinity School in Carlisle will not reopen until the New Year because of flood damage. 

    Almost 1,600 pupils attend the school, but its buildings off Victoria Place are still empty because it's not yet safe to reconnect them to the mains electricity supply.

    Cumbria Police has just confirmed to us that Eden Bridge in Carlisle remains closed to traffic but it is open to pedestrians.

    Cumbria County Council says, external Eamont Bridge near Penrith has been re-closed. Please use alternative routes.
