Councillors considering whether to give the founder of the South Lakes Safari Zoo a new licence have turned down his application to defer the decision.
A solicitor acting for David Gill had urged councillors to consider a parallel application from the new management company at the zoo , external , for them to be licensed, to be considered first.
The meeting has now resumed.
