    The flies aren't going away in a hurry it would seem... the new owners of a waste management site in Derby plan to keep it in operation despite residents' calls for it to be shut down.

    The plant on Slack Lane is currently operated by Shows Waste Management, and will be taken over by Colsons Transport Limited next month.
