A jury's heard how a man was stabbed to death in Derby city centre after calling the bluff of a teenager threatening him with a knife.
The prosecution said Tom Webb, 22, from Alvaston, and his friends were pursued by a group led by the 16-year-old defendant after referring to some women as "fit".
The defendant, who cannot be named due to his age, denies murder. The trial continues.
Lucas Akins has signed a new two-year deal, external with Burton Albion.
The winger has been the club's top scorer for the past two seasons.

Clinical staff at Bolsover Hospital and Newholme Hospital (pictured) will be redeployed to look after more people in their own homes.
Inpatient beds will also go from Clay Cross Hospital and Whitworth Hospital near Matlock.
The changes are bound to be controversial and there will be 90 days of public consultation before any final decisions are made.

NHS managers argue more hospital services can be better provided in patients' own homes - and with an ageing population, expensive outdated buildings and limited funding they insist they have to make the money go further.
The suggested closure of Bakewell's Newholme Hospital and Bolsover Hospital (pictured) also means the dementia day units there will disappear along with a third day unit at Walton Hospital in Chesterfield.

It's been revealed the NHS wants to close two community hospitals in Derbyshire.
Newholme Hospital at Bakewell and Bolsover Hospital are both earmarked to shut as part of a shake-up of healthcare.

Two convicts have absconded from Sudbury open prison in Derbyshire. Joshua Goffe (left), 25, and Joseph Graham, 35, left the prison yesterday afternoon - although police say it's not thought the two men left together.
Goffe was jailed for nine years for manslaughter in 2011, while Graham was serving a minimum period of five years' imprisonment for kidnap.
Derby South MP Dame Margaret Beckett has been explaining why she voted against Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

They'll be singing a campaign anthem outside Parliament at 12:00.

It appears there are only days to save the former Ripley Hippodrome from being demolished, which could happen as early as 7 July.

It's a day for patience if you're heading out of Derby on the A52 eastbound.
A two-vehicle accident in Spondon has been causing delays for most of the rush hour, and traffic is currently queuing back to Pentagon Island in Derby.
Delays are also being reported on London Road eastbound as motorists avoid using the A52.
