    An inquest jury’s heard that a prisoner died in a Nottinghamshire jail from the toxic effects of synthetic cannabinoids, known as Mamba or Spice.

    There were attempts to revive 54-year-old Edward King in his cell at privately-operated Lowdham Grange Prison in February 2017.

    Giving evidence at an inquest in Nottingham, forensic pathologist Dr Michael Biggs said he'd been informed that Mr King and another prisoner in a cell near his own, were regular users of Spice.

    He continued: “Mr King became unwell, he was witnessed on CCTV being unsteady on his feet - when he was questioned, he said he was having a reaction to the substance he'd been taking."

    The inquest continues.

    Derbyshire's Andy Sneap is the new guitarist for rock legends Judas Priest.

    The 48-year-old musician from Belper, who's internationally known for his productions in the genre of rock and metal, is replacing Glen Tipton in the line-up.

    Tipton is stepping down because of Parkinson's disease but says "he will come back for some shows".

    He added: "I want everyone to know that it's vital that the Judas Priest tour go ahead and that I am not leaving the band - it’s simply that my role has changed."

    A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob and kidnap following the death of Leicester jeweller Ramniklal Jogiya.

    The man - who was arrested from his home address in the Leicester area this morning - has become the tenth person to be arrested in the investigation into Mr Jogiya's death.

    Mr Jogiya’s body was found on the morning of Thursday, January 25 in Gaulby Lane, Stoughton, near Leicester Airfield, and a murder investigation was launched.

    Leicestershire Police said, external of the nine other people who have been arrested, four have been charged with kidnap and robbery, three have been released from custody but remain under investigation, and two others have been released with no further action.

    A 30-year-old man had his mobile phone stolen and was left with broken bones after a robbery in Normanton last month.

    Derbyshire Police said, external the man was cycling along a path from Elton Road on January 13 at about 18:00 when he was assaulted by three men. He was later taken to the Royal Derby Hospital for treatment.

    Officers are concerned for the safety of missing 18-year-old Kyle Cowley.

    Kyle - who has been described by police as "vulnerable" - went missing from his home in Depot Street on 6 February.

    He was last seen on Radbourne Street the following day wearing a padded black coat, blue Stone Island jeans and grey Adidas trainers. Kyle has links to Derby city centre and Heanor.

    The NHS has defended its decision to send letters to parents of overweight children.

    This comes after a mum from Wigston was left "horrified" when she was told her 10-year-old son may need to consider a healthier diet and more exercise.

    She said he wears average-sized clothes and plays football for at least six hours a week.

    Paula McKee, an NHS dietitian in Leicester, says it's important the health service intervenes when necessary.

    She added: "Up to a third of children in Year 6 are overweight or obese, so we really need to work with these families and support them."
