    A student has been telling the BBC how he felt "victimised" when he was asked to leave a bar because he was wearing a turban.

    Amrik Singh was told that Rush in Mansfield had a "no headwear" policy.

    Mr Singh recorded himself explaining that his turban is a religious requirement, but was then told: "I didn't think you were allowed to drink anyway."

    The venue's management has apologised and said staff involved faced suspension pending an investigation.

    Police are investigating a shooting outside a karaoke bar in Nottingham at the weekend.

    A 25-year-old man was shot near to Intrigue Karaoke Lounge and Bar on Huntingdon Street in the early hours of Saturday. He was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

    A 30-year-old man was arrested and released while investigations continue.

    Nottingham Forest and 10-man Derby took a point apiece from an entertaining but goalless East Midlands derby.

    Derby played the final eight minutes a man light after Tom Huddlestone was sent off for two fouls on Lee Tomlin.

    They had been on top in the match but are now seven league games without a win and 11 points off the top two.

    Forest keeper Costel Pantilimon's double save from David Nugent and Tom Lawrence was the closest either side came to scoring at the City Ground.

    A baby from Nottingham, who was born with her heart outside her chest, is recovering from surgery to have the organ put back inside her body.

    Vanellope Wilkins, who underwent the procedure at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester, was given less than a 10% chance of survival when she was born in November.

    She is the first baby in the UK to survive the rare condition. Her parents have said she's living proof that miracles can happen.
