    There is a chance cloud and mist will become rather widespread tonight with the chance of some fog in places and perhaps the odd spot of drizzle too but it is expected to stay rather mild.

    Tomorrow is expected to start off rather misty with some fog in places to begin with.

    Much of the mist will lift through the day but it will remain mostly overcast and brightness will be fairly limited.

    Three men have been charged following a stabbing in North Sherwood Street, Nottingham.

    The men, aged 21, 20 and 18, are charged with causing grevious bodily harm with intent in relation to the stabbing of a 21-year-old man on 23 October, who was left with life-threatening injuries.

    The 21-year-old suspect is also charged with possession of class A drugs and the 18-year-old is charged with possession of a bladed article.

    They have been remanded in custody to appear Nottingham Crown Court on 12 December.

    A dog walker is recovering after being slashed in the face, external by a man riding past on a bike in Loughborough.

    Police said the 48-year-old is facing a lifetime scar after being targeted in Pear Tree Lane on Sunday morning.

    A man has been charged with the murder, external of a man who was stabbed to death in The Meadows area of Nottingham.

    Neil Thomson, 37, died in hospital yesterday after being knifed in the chest in Causeway Mews on 5 November.

    Nottinghamshire Police said a 27-year-old was in custody charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

    He is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 5 December.

    The search for missing Paresh Patel is continuing in Leicester today with specialist officers searching an area of Belgrave Road.

    The 48-year-old has been missing since Saturday night.

    CCTV footage has shown him walking close to Abbey Park after leaving home at about 21:00.

    There is particular concern for Paresh because he has not been reported missing before and he has a medical condition, which requires regular medication.

    Earlier this week Leicestershire Search and Rescue searched an area of the park and specially trained officers carried out water searches in the lake and other surrounding water.

    Hundreds of leaflets have also been handed out in the Belgrave Road area.

    A teacher from Ecclesbourne School in Duffield, Derbyshire, has been interviewed by police following allegations of having sex with a child.

    Derbyshire Police confirmed this took place in March last year and that no prosecutions were made.

    The case has been referred to the Derbyshire Safeguarding Children’s Board, the force said.

    Video assistant referees could be used at Leicester City's King Power Stadium next season, after Premier League clubs agreed in principle to the move.

    The Premier League will now make a formal request to the International Football Association Board and Fifa to use VAR next season.

    A man from Nottingham has been jailed for seven years for conning ten people out of more than £100k.

    Keith Atkin, of The Chancery, Nottingham, was sentenced to seven years in prison at Nottingham Crown Court after being found guilty of nine counts of fraud by misrepresentation.

    Police said he had been committing fraud since 2014, with one victim paying £74,550 to Atkin as part of an investment scheme and the rest of the money gained by him selling fake holidays to Lanzarote, Dubai, the Maldives and Monaco.

    He also pleaded guilty to being undischarged bankrupt at the start of the trial for which he was disqualified from being a director for 10 years.

    A car has ended up on its side after crashing into a bridge on a country lane in Stoke Golding.

    It happened on Higham Lane at about 13:00. Luckily no one has been injured but the bridge has "substantial damage".

    The road is currently blocked and a request has been made for a road closure. This is causing some traffic congestion in the area.

    Police at the scene are warning drivers to be cautious while negotiating tight country lanes.

    Police are looking to identify these two masked men who allegedly rode around Arnold town centre wilding a knife yesterday.

    They reportedly chased a 17-year-old boy and attempted to attack him with a knife on Front Street at around 3.30pm yesterday.

    Nobody was hurt in the incident.

    A police dog and his handler have been honoured at an awards ceremony.

    PC Gregor Robbie and the now-retired PD Grace spent two hours tracking down two suspects who robbed a rural Post Office in Nottinghamshire, through farmland, woodland and ditches.

    The robbery took place in Stockwith Road, Walkeringham, at around 09:00 on 7 February 2017.
