Three teenagers have been arrested over an assault which has left another boy in intensive care.

Police and paramedics found the injured 17-year-old after being called to the Nutbrook Trail in Kirk Hallam, Derbyshire, at about 21:20 on Saturday.

Two boys aged 14 and 15, and a 19-year-old man, were arrested on Sunday on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.

The 17-year-old remains in hospital, police said.

Derbyshire Police appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.
