    Site inspections are being carried out by structural engineers and demolition work on the remainder of the Royal Clarence Hotel is likely to start this week.

    That's what Devon and Somerset Fire Service is saying, warning that "it will be a difficult and challenging process that will take some time".

    It said: "While some roads will be able to re-open, cordons will continue to be in place around the immediate vicinity of the affected area. 

    "The majority of the city centre remains open for business."

    Firefighters from Tolvaddon and Falmouth are dealing with a large barn fire in United Downs. 

    The barn is believed to contain wood and power to the building has been isolated. 

    Devon and Cornwall Police are also on scene. United Road is closed which is having an impact on traffic to and from the industrial estate.
