    A woman has received an apology a year after an NHS 111 call handler asked her the "wrong" set of questions and at one point during the 10-minute call was heard to laugh.

    Michelle Perryman said she called the service as she felt violently ill, but found the questions she was asked "disrespectful" and "disturbing".

    "Asking me a question like 'did I feel like I've been hit by a brick to the head?' I find very disturbing because if I had been hit by a brick most people would have been unconscious or died," she said.

    South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, which ran the service at the time, says the handler asked the wrong set of questions, but the "brick" question was a legitimate question.

    Parking charges on a Poldark filming site where 31 men died nearly 100 years ago in a mining disaster has been defended by the National Trust.

    Opponents say "public feeling is high" about the ticket machine at Levant Mine in Cornwall.

    The machine was wrenched out of the ground and vandalised on 4 February - within a week of it being installed - but it will be replaced.

    The National Trust , externalsaid the fees help to fund conservation and maintain the site.

    A Devon woman who complained about a NHS 111, external phone call says she's disgusted it's taken a year to get an apology.

    Michelle Perryman rang for help saying she felt violently ill, but says the call handler asked her the wrong questions.

    South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, external - which no longer runs the 111 service - admits the call handler selected the wrong "pathway" (series of questions), but says the outcome of the call would have been the same even if Mrs Perryman had been asked the correct questions. 

    The trust said the delay was because the complainant did not initially supply the right identification documents for them to progress her complaint.
