    A woman was rescued from a cave over the weekend after she was "cut off by the tide" west of Portwrinkle, in Cornwall.

    Falmouth Coastguard requested Looe RNLI volunteers to launch both RNLI inshore lifeboats at 12:20 GMT on Saturday 4 March.

    The woman, who was not injured was sheltering in a cave when rescue teams found her.

    The crew then had to swim to the cave, as surf conditions were so strong that the lifeboats were unable to approach.

    • In Devon on the A39 North Road in Barnstaple there are temporary traffic lights and roadworks by the North Devon District Hospital. Queuing traffic is reported
    • In Cornwall the A30 westbound at Redruth is now open again following an earlier accident near the Avers roundabout. Traffic has returned to normal
    • In Rosevear on the St Keverne to Mawgan road, there is a car on its roof in a garden at the bottom of the hill. Emergency services are at the scene but there are no reported delays
    • In Penryn at the Treluswell roundabouts there's very slow traffic through there at the moment especially southbound due to roadworks

    A 48-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of murder by Devon and Cornwall Police after a woman was found dead in Paignton , have been released on bail until 30 May.

    Emergency services were called to Church Street in Paignton, Devon, at 05:25 on Friday following concerns for the welfare of a person in the street. 

    The 47-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene, which was cordoned off while initial investigations took place.

    A 20-year-old woman has died following an accident on a farm in Dawlish. 

    Police and health and safety officers are investigating the death, which happened after she was injured operating farm machinery on Saturday afternoon. 

     An air ambulance and land ambulance were called and she was taken to hospital but couldn't be saved.

    A 16-year-old student from Exeter has travelled to the Syrian refugee camps in northern Jordan to  document how shelters are being built, external , and to see how lives can be improved for the people living there.

    A BBC investigation has found some young South West fishermen are dying after abusing drugs at sea. 

    A grieving father from Teignmouth, Micky Hill, says his son would never have set out on a scallop dredging trip if he'd known his friend on board was high on amphetamines.

    Mr Hill's son was just 22 when he died two years ago. 

    Shane Hooper, who worked for the family business, had high levels of the drug in his body when it was recovered. Micky says the tragedy's left him broken.
