Organisers of the North Devon Show say they have taken the "difficult decision" to cancel this year's event this week "with regret".
The event was due to be held at the North Devon Showground at Umberleigh, near Barnstaple, on Wednesday.
Show Secretary Theresa Soanes said: "Recent wet weather and predicted heavy rainfall on Wednesday means that we had to consider the safety of our exhibitors and visitors, given the current state of the show site."

Two young children and their mother have been killed in a car crash on the A361 North Devon Link Road near Barnstaple.
The woman was driving two of her children towards Barnstaple when their car was in collision with a lorry at about 08:25. The woman's husband saw the crash happen from a vehicle in front.
The family are believed to be on holiday in Devon from elsewhere in England.
Experienced police officers described this as one of the most shocking crashes they had seen.
The A361 is expected to be closed for the rest of the day for collision investigation work. Police asked motorists to avoid the area, and for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
