    A car fire in Plymouth could have been started deliberately, firefighters have said., external

    Fire crews were called to the blaze on Maida Vale Terrace just after 03:15.

    They requested police to attend as they believed the cause was possibly arson. No-one was injured.

    A strike by South Western Railway staff is set to go ahead after a union claimed the operator had "failed to respond seriously" to its offer.

    South Western Railway services to and from Exeter could be impacted.

    Members of the rail union RMT are walking out over the long-running dispute over the role of guards on trains.

    SWR said the decision, which will see staff strike within 36 hours, was "frustrating and disappointing".

    They'll also walk out on seven other dates , externalduring July, August and September.

    Police say they want to talk to four women after a serious assault on Exeter High Street on Saturday 30 June that led to the death of a man.

    The attack happened outside the Tesco Metro store at about 23:00.

    The victim, a 40-year-old man, was taken to Derriford Hospital where he died on 9 July.

    A man has been charged in connection with the death.
