Millions of pounds of extra cash from property developers is being spent on regeneration and community projects in Plymouth.
The pot of money is from the Community Infrastructure Levy – a tax on bigger planning applications designed to fund local infrastructure.
The council has so far spent £1.7m on the North Prospect regeneration, and funding public space improvements in the city centre.
It has set aside £3.3m from the £6m current total pot left for the Forder Valley Link Road project, which has not yet started.
A spokeswoman said: “This has been hugely successful and has helped fund a variety of social enterprises, sports clubs, local businesses and arts programmes to reach their goals.”
