Truro City manager Leigh Robinson says a renewed confidence is the reason his side have turned their results around.
A 2-0 win at Chelmsford City was the third victory in a five-game unbeaten run that has seen the White tigers move out of the National League South relegation places.
"There's no magic formula, to be honest. We're just a much fitter team and a much better team in terms of the people we've brought in," he told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"Results breed confidence and that's what gets you results.
"All credit to the players for pulling out a great result."

This is compared to 51 in 2016 and 36 in 2015.
Ms Hernandez said this was a "scary statistic" and she wanted to put up fines for distraction driving offences from £100 to at least £130...

Services to tackle drug and alcohol misuse in Torbay are set to lose £100,000 of funding next year.
A report to Torbay Council's Priorities and Resources Review Panel, external said savings would be found by service provider the Torbay and South Devon NHS Trust.
Councillors were told the savings could be made without a damaging effect on clients.
Public Health Director Caroline Dimond said: "I think in this instance we are hoping we can do this without affecting not only the users of our services but their families as well."
The £100,000 savings will mean a 4% budget cut next year to £2.37m.
The cuts will come from further streamlining management, reducing the time patients spend with professionals, considering cuts to prescribing sessions for opiate substitute therapy and changing the treatment approach for some groups by providing less contact.

Cornwall has topped a list of areas with the most villages deemed "unsustainable for growth" - missing out on new affordable homes.
That's according to new research from CLA - the membership organisation for owners of land, property and businesses in rural England and Wales.
It found 2,154 villages across England are judged to be unsustainable - making housing allocation, including the delivery of affordable homes in these communities, either highly restricted or not permitted.
Cornwall was found to have 213 unsustainable villages, followed by Wiltshire at 168 and Central Lincolnshire with 132.
Quote MessageAlthough Cornwall tops the list of the most unsustainable villages, it is in fact an excellent example of a local authority actively addressing the needs of small rural communities despite the classification. Other rural local authorities should follow this lead and use all the mechanisms available to deliver affordable housing.
