    Dovedale in Derbyshire has been named as one of the seven natural wonders of the UK by the Royal Geographical Society (RGS).

    The Peak District valley, famous for its stepping stones, was included in the list alongside other famous beauty spots including Dorset's Jurassic Coast and the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland.

    Dovedale is a stretch of the Dove Valley where the River Dove passes through dramatic limestone ravines.

    Mary-Ann Ochota, from the RGS, said: "One of the few positives to come out of the pandemic is the opportunity many of us have had to explore the natural wonders on our doorsteps.

    "These seven locations are really extraordinary. I think most of us would be amazed to learn that they’re right here in our own country."
