    I've just contacted Essex Police to find out more information on the road closure at Palmer's Avenue in Grays. 

    The force says it was contacted at 07:40 to reports of a man who was unwell in the street.

    A man is now being taken to hospital.

  3. Essex chip shop owner at Supreme Court over 'unfair' parking finepublished at 09:15

    A chip shop owner from Essex, who has been fighting a legal battle over an "unfair" parking fine, is expected to find out if he has won an appeal at the Supreme Court.

    Barry Beavis, 47, from Chelmsford, launched legal action against private car park operators after he was charged £85 for overstaying a two hour free parking limit. 

    He claims the fine he received was ''disproportionate'' but has already lost his case at a county court and the Court of Appeal.

    The A1013 Palmer's Avenue in Grays is closed between the High View Avenue junction and Theorbalds Avenue because of a police incident.

  5. Clacton travellers move on to St Osyth country parkpublished at 08:50

    A group of travellers who had been occupying a car park on Clacton seafront have now set up camp at a country park in St Osyth.

    The land is owned and managed by Essex County Council which says a notice has been served asking them to leave the Martin's Farm Country Park.

    Earlier this week, several caravans left a car and coach park in Clacton following the threat of court action.
