    A man has suffered life-changing injuries in a shooting in Stanford-le-Hope, police say.

    The victim, believed to be in his 50s, was shot while sat in his van at the junction of London Road and Stanford Road, at about 19:00 last night.

    The suspect is reported to have been driving a silver Mercedes C-Class, which drove off at speed after the attack.
