    Acid attack victim Carla Whitlock was blamed by the Midmore brothers for "a drug deal that had gone wrong", according to the Crown Prosecution Service during Billy Midmore's trial.

    Principal Crown Advocate Kerry Maylin said the brothers "ended up having drugs and money taken" and thought Ms Whitlock was responsible.

    Brothers Billy and Geoffrey Midmore are awaiting sentence this afternoon for last September's attack on Carla Whitlock in Guildhall Square, Southampton.

    The mother-of-six was permanently blinded in one eye when sulphuric acid was thrown in her face.

    Judge Peter Ralls QC will pass sentence at a hearing due some time after 14:00 BST at Southampton Crown Court.
