10:15 BST 27 October 2016The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will be visiting the urban extension to Dorchester which has been built to the Prince of Wales's architectural and planning ideals:
- Construction on the urban extension on the edge of Dorchester began in 1993
- Built on Duchy of Cornwall land, it is already home to about 3,000 people in a mix of private and affordable housing
- It provides jobs for 2,100 people and is home to 185 businesses
- It is set to be complete by 2025 when it will house about 5,000 people
- Queen Mother Square is the newly completed central hub of classically designed commercial and residential buildings most of which are named after The Queen Mother's favourite racehorses

09:43 BST 27 October 2016The Queen will be joined by the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall on a walkabout around Poundbury.
The royal party will begin with a tour of the square, visiting the local Waitrose and attending a private reception in Jubilee Hall.
They will continue to the Royal Pavilion where they will meet architects involved in the design of the statue of the Queen Mother.
The party will proceed to the Duchess of Cornwall Inn where they will meet representatives from the construction team before moving on to the statue where the Prince of Wales will give a speech before the unveiling.

09:35 BST 27 October 2016Poundbury's estate director Simon Conibear has given us some advice for anyone wanting to see today's royal visit to Dorchester.
Quote MessageArrive before 11am and proceed up to Queen Mother's Square where there are crowd barriers. Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh will arrive in a state vehicle and tour the square and about an hour later will unveil the statue. It's a special day - we've had so many inquiries... we think it'll be into the thousands possibly.

09:30 BST 27 October 2016A statue of the Queen Mother is due to be unveiled by the Queen at the Prince of Wales' model town this morning.
The 9ft 6in (3m) bronze statue by sculptor Philip Jackson stands in the square of the Poundbury urban development on the edge of the county town.
The statue, depicting the Queen Mother aged 51, is a second casting of one which stands in The Mall in London.
