    Bestival organisers have submitted plans to hold the festival four weeks earlier.

    The event which moved from the Isle of Wight to the Lulworth Estate this year, is planned to take place between 2-5 August, subject to a licence being granted.

    The theme for the festival has also been revealed as The Circus.

  4. Snapchat 'grooming' of Bracknell school children investigatedpublished at 10:03 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2017

    Thames Valley Police have said they are investigating online sexual grooming after "inappropriate messages" were sent to children on Snapchat in Bracknell, Berkshire.

    Parents of primary and secondary school pupils were initially sent a text message by Bracknell Forest Council to look for communication between their children and any social media accounts with the names 'CraigDavis1999' and 'James Hammond'.

    The force have confirmed to the BBC that they are investigating these accounts in relation to sexual grooming, after several incidents were reported to them in September.

    No arrests have been made so far.

    Snapchat's parent company, Snap Inc, said any child should report such messages to them and a trusted adult. The firm added that the app is not intended for use by those under 13.

    A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a stabbing in Slough.

    Ismail Mohamed, 24, died three weeks after the attack in Salt Hill Park on 10 July. A second man was also stabbed and left with serious injuries.

    Thames Valley Police said a 21-year-old man, from London, was detained earlier and remains in custody.

    Oladapo Obadare, 25, and Ryan Fuller-Bent, 20, were charged with one count of murder and one of attempted murder in September.

    A police officer who was driving a car which hit and killed a burglary suspect did so without justification, a disciplinary hearing has been told.

    Aston McLean Williams died in Wokingham Road, Reading, after a PC used an armed response vehicle as a "mobile barrier".

    An expert witness told a police disciplinary hearing: "There are no tactics in the driver training manual for this at all."

    Two police officers, known only as 'PC P' and 'PC N' are accused of gross misconduct.

    The misconduct hearing, which was scheduled to last five days, continues today.

    Two PCs are facing misconduct charges over the death of a man who was hit by a police car in Reading.
