An independent Ferrari expert has told a court he believes a sudden increase in engine power caused an F50 model of the car to crash on a farm track, killing a Hampshire boy.

Aldo Riti - a defence expert witness - told the jury at Winchester Crown Court he believes the £1.2 million car started with only six cylinders working because of a pre-existing fault and then the other six had cut in - leading to an increase in power.

The Ferrari took off after hitting a wooden post and rolled over, throwing out both Alexander Worth and Matthew Cobden, who were not wearing seatbelts.

The prosecution has told the jury there is evidence the car was running normally on the day of the crash in August 2016.
