I'm on a footbridge near to junction 14 of the motorway. It's a grey day here, things not helped by a heavy rainstorm just a few seconds ago.
Westbound traffic is running but it's very slow. As far as eastbound is concerned, it will be closed for a few hours yet.
There's plenty of flashing lights from the emergency services, the flashing orange lights of other vehicles that have stopped in the moments after the incident, and there are a number of cones across the carriageway.
Thames Valley Police will continue its investigations a while longer.
The trapped traffic on the M4 eastbound following the crash earlier this afternoon has been released, according to Highways England.
However, the carriagway is expected to remain closed for some time as police investigations continue.

Twitter user Josephine_KK captured the moment three air ambulances were at the scene of the M4 crash at the same time earlier.
The queue of traffic stuck on the M4 eastbound, following the earlier collision involving a lorry and minibus, is one-and-a-half miles long.

South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) has said three people in the minibus that crashed on the M4 earlier have life-threatening injuries.
One was flown to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford while another was taken by ambulance to the same hospital.
The third was flown to the major trauma centre at Bristol Southmead Hospital.
"Three further people in the minibus had sustained less serious injuries, two of whom were taken by road to the Great Western Hospital, Swindon, and the third to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading," a SCAS spokesperson said.
A pellet went through the window of a bus in Dorset, shattering glass on the other side.

"There is currently severe congestion both ways. The westbound carriageway was temporarily closed to allow the air ambulance access to the scene and has since reopened.

"Please remain in your vehicles if you are stuck in the traffic as emergency services require access to the M4."

There are also two critical care cars, two rapid response vehicles, six ambulances and two units from the hazardous area response team on the scene.

A number of emergency vehicles are at the scene between Hungerford and Chieveley where a minibus and two lorries have been involved in a collision.
The air ambulance has arrived at a "serious" crash on the M4 between junction's 14 and 13 in West Berkshire.
Both carriageways are currently closed, with the eastbound route expected to stay closed until the evening rush hour.
