  2. Power disruption continues

    Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) says engineers are working hard to restore power to homes.

    There are widespread power cuts across Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

    Most lost their power overnight as Storm Isha swept in.

    The power firm said the cuts were due to debris hitting power lines during the strong winds.

    Engineers are out making repairs but some may not have their power back on until this evening, SSEN said.

  3. Welfare van for power-cut residents

    A food and hot drink van has been set up in Abingdon and Blandford by Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks.

    SSEN said the vans were parked up for those without power in:

    • Village Hall, The Green, Steventon, Abingdon OX13 6RR
    • Hambro Arms Blandford Forum DT11 0BP

    As winds in The Solent gusted at speeds of up to 86mph BBC Weather Watcher Dan Wardle captured the wind and rain battering Southsea.

  5. Van roof blows onto Sandown Beach

    The roof of a truck has been found on an Isle of Wight beach following Storm Isha.

    Isle of Wight County Press reported Islander Karen Chapman Green came across the roof this morning on Sandown Beach.

    It has ended up wedged against a wall near Sandown Pier.

  6. Sunrises after the storm

    The morning after the night before.

    BBC Weather Watchers have been up early to capture sunrises and calm scenes around the south after a night that saw winds from Storm Isha gust up to 86mph.

    BBC Weather's Carol Kirkwood looks at what we can expect in the aftermath from strong winds overnight.

  9. Power off in Hilton and Milton Abbas villages

    More than 330 homes in Milton Abbas and Hilton in Dorset have spent the night without power.

    The outage struck the villages overnight as Storm Isha swept in.

    Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) said it was affecting those in the DT11 postcode.

    SSEN said engineers were on site with the power expected back on by 14:00 GMT.

  10. If you can't avoid the roads: Some tips for safer driving

    Drivers have been warned to stay safe on the roads amid possible gusts of up to 90mph.

    Here some tips for driving in high winds:

    • Stick to main roadsif possible, meaning you're less likely to be exposed to fallen debris
    • Grip your steering wheeltightly with both hands
    • Keepenough room either side of your vehicleso you can factor in it being blown sideways
    • Be aware of gapsbetween trees, buildings or bridges where you are more likely to be exposed to side winds
  11. Storm Isha hits Southsea seafront

    The waves were crashing onto the Esplanade at Southsea on Sunday night as Storm Isha hit the south.

    BBC Weather Watcher Dan Wardle braved the wind and rain to capture this image.

  12. Fallen tree blocks Woking-Basingstoke line

    A tree is blocking the railway between Woking and Basingstoke.

    It means that trains are only able to run on one of the lines towards Basingstoke.

    South Western Railway said train services may be cancelled, delayed or revised with disruption expected until 10:00 GMT.

  13. River Pang and Lambourn flood warnings issued

    People are being warned to expect flooding in parts of Berkshire.

    Flood warnings have been issued by the Environment Agency (EA) for:

    The EA said River levels had risen as a result of overnight rainfall and raised groundwater levels.

    "We are closely monitoring the situation and we expect river levels to continue rising slowly this morning", it said.

  15. Travel disruption for Chiltern Railway passengers

    A couple of problems are set to cause delays for those travelling on Chiltern Railways.

    A tree blocking the railway between Bicester North and Haddenham & Thame Parkway has blocked the line towards London.

    Also heading towards London a problem with line-side equipment between Leamington Spa and Banbury means trains are having to run at a reduced speed on the line.
