    Veteran broadcaster, Jonathan Dimbleby, will chair a panel of MPs and business leaders during a live broadcast from the University of Worcester next week.

    BBC Radio 4’s ‘Any Questions’ programme will be broadcast live from the St John’s Campus on Friday, 1 April.

    Members of the public are invited to join the audience for the broadcast. The University has a limited number of free tickets, which will be issued on a first come, first served basis.

  3. £4m expansion for Malvern Hills Science Parkpublished at 17:42 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2016

    The Malvern Hills Science Park is to get a £4m expansion, after planning permission was granted by the county council, external

    The new two-storey building will provide an extra 16,000 sq ft (1486 sq m) of space for new businesses and existing tenants who want to expand. 

    The park is used as a base for some of the UK's leading IT and cyber security companies.

  4. Rugby: Luctonians not to attend John Kelly ban hearingpublished at 17:29 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2016

    Luctonians’ second-row forward, John Kelly, is facing a ban after he picked up his third yellow card of the season in the National Two North win over Broadstreet on Saturday, 19 March.

    Kelly’s case is due to be heard at Haydock on Tuesday, 22 March but the club is not planning on attending.

    Director of rugby, Alex Davidson, says they can submit letters in terms of mitigation, but experience tells him attending such hearings is of limited value in cases such as this one.

  5. Nearly 2,000 sign petition for CCTV at Hereford Crematoriumpublished at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2016

    Nearly 2,000 people have signed a petition calling for CCTV to be installed at Hereford Crematorium.

    Ashley Bonsall began the petition after a sentimental fairy ornament was stolen from his daughter's grave.

    Herefordshire Council held talks about introducing CCTV but concerns have been raised about lighting in the area. 

    Police have been carrying out extra patrols in the cemetery.

    It will be brighter tomorrow morning, before the cloud returns - highs of 10C (50F).

    Long traffic delays into Hereford have continued all day due to gas works.

    There are long tailbacks into the city on all routes from the south and west.

    Cars are queuing back for miles on the A49 south, A465 and Holme Lacy Road.

    It is due to gas work by National Grid - the council said it was emergency work, so it did get prior notification of the work.

    Planning permission for the next stage of the Malvern Hills Science Park has been granted by Worcestershire County Council.

    Planning chairman, Rob Adams, said it was an "important site for high tech employment in the area".

  11. Man dies and woman seriously hurt in crashpublished at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2016

    A woman is in a serious condition in hospital after a crash in Kidderminster which killed another driver, police say, external

    The two cars collided on Worcester Road near Hartlebury yesterday. 

    The man died at the scene - his passenger was taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

    Hereford FC manager Peter Beadle has had a 48 hours to remember after becoming a father for the fifth time, only two days after leading the Bulls to Wembley for the first time. 

    The reborn club, who grew out of the old Hereford United's demise in December 2014, are still in their first season.

    But they have done something the old club failed to do by reaching Wembley, beating Salisbury in the FA Vase. 

    And Beadle topped it on Monday when his other half gave him a baby daughter.

    The Mayor of Worcester is hosting a charity "night at the movies" concert, external on Friday, 8 April at 19:30 in the Guildhall.

  18. Half of Hereford FC's Wembley tickets sold outpublished at 12:44 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2016

    More than half of Hereford FC's ticket allocation has sold out for their game at Wembley. 

    As of this morning, 3,500 of the 6,600 tickets had gone.

    The club says the FA are aware that they expect to take in the region of 15,000 fans, and are confident they will have enough tickets. 

    Hereford will play north-east side Morpeth in the FA Vase final on Sunday, 22 May.
