    Tracey Onslow has just been announced as West Mercia's new Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner.

    She was put forward by PCC John Campion and was confirmed in the post today by the police and crime panel, made up of local councillors across Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

    Ms Onslow, a local councillor in the Wyre Forest, said she looked forward to "getting out and meeting people" and helping to deliver a "more secure, reformed and reassured West Mercia".

    The four-day-week post comes with a £40,000 salary - a £10,000 saving on her predecessor, who was full-time - the PCC's office said.

    A man has quit his own computer business after saying exposure to wireless technology made him ill.

    Richard Kimberley from Kidderminster says that due to electro hypersensivity he has taken to living in a van with aluminium shields to guard against mobile phones and similar devices.

    He says that as a result his health has improved, but he has had to walk away from a job dependent on technology.

    He will now focus on helping people battle symptoms linked to a condition that is not medically recognised in the UK.

    An ex-MEP who denies making fake expense claims would empty a handbag full of receipts and leave them for staff to deal with, she told a jury.

    Nikki Sinclaire is accused of claiming for car journeys across Europe, when she flew for less money than claimed.

    Expenses were dealt with by staff who knew passwords for her email and credit cards, she told Birmingham Crown Court.

    Ms Sinclaire, who was UKIP MEP for the West Midlands until 2014, denies fraud and misconduct in public office.
