    Gill Sennett

How fast (or slow) is your broadband?

Well, East Yorkshire MP Graham Stuart is pushing to get a law through Parliament that would mean our broadband providers are obliged to provide us with decent broadband speeds.

Wires going into the back of a routerImage source, think

About time? Well for 90% of us we already have access to superfast broadband. That's expected to rise to 95% by the end of next year.

Most of the 5% who don't have superfast are in rural areas like parts of the East Riding.

If the law gets the go-ahead people with poor connections would have a legal right to ask for a fast connection.
