    The 35-year-old hung up his boots recently after captaining Melbourne City and following a career which included playing for Australia and a spell at Leicester City..

    Kisnorbo tells ABC Grandstand's Tom Greenard Leeds United was a career highlight.

    primary school was evacuated , externalthis afternoon after a fire started in a classroom.

    Fire crews were called to St Cuthbert's and The First Martyrs' Catholic Primary School on Scotchman Road at 2.46pm, and at its height there were seven engines from stations including Odsal, externalRawdon, external and Shipley, external at the scene.

    Police were also called, although there have been no injuries reported.

  8. Clifford Amoh murder: Six people arrestedpublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 11 May 2016

    Six people have now been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation in to the murder of Leeds man Clifford Amoh.

    Mr Amoh who was 29-years-old was attacked at a house in Gipton during the early hours of Saturday 7 May. 

    A 15-year-old male, a 24-year-old woman, a 19-year-old male and 29-year-old male, were arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder. A 22-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, who were arrested on Saturday, remain in custody.

    An MP has said patient safety at a troubled hospital is being compromised "on a daily basis".

    Paula Sherriff, Labour MP for Dewsbury, said Dewsbury Hospital's staff had told stories that "absolutely horrified me".

    Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust runs the hospital along with others at Pinderfields in Wakefield and Pontefract Hospital.

    Yorkshire all-rounder David Willey has been told not to bowl for six weeks because of an abdominal injury.

    However, the 26-year-old could still bat in the White Rose county's current Championship game against Surrey if required to do so.

    The injury means Willey could be unavailable for some of England's one-day international series against Sri Lanka next month.

    Azealia Banks has criticised Zayn Malik in a racist rant on Twitter.

    The rapper said the Bradford singer had copied some of her ideas and that his new video for Like I Would looked like the one she made for her track Yung Rapunxel.

    "I'm not mad about this though. Zayn is a cutie pie," she wrote under a series of screengrabs from two videos.

    Zayn didn't directly respond to Azealia but tweeted "no lies… I see you reaching but I don't care". Those comments led to a racist and homophobic rant from Azealia Banks.

    Full-back Luke Dorn returns for Castleford Tigers against Leeds Rhinos at Headingley tomorrow night following a lengthy spell out on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

    Dorn is raring to go against the side sitting bottom of the Super League table.    

    Luke Gale and Grant Millington face late fintess tests for the Tigers and Nathan Massey may be involved tomorrow night despite dislocating his knee cap in the Challenge Cup victory against Salford.

    A cloudy afternoon with patchy rain, some heavy especially in the south and west. The rain will clear and it will turn drier and brighter with some sunshine with just a small chance of a shower.

    Maximum temperature of about 18C (64F) with a moderate locally fresh northeast wind. 

    This evening, we will see isolated showers which will fizzle out leaving it mostly dry overnight with variable cloud and some clear spells. Some fog patches developing, especially over the hills. Mild with a minimum temperature of about 10C (50F) and a moderate northeast wind.

    BBC research shows around one in seven jobs in West Yorkshire are linked to our exports to the European Union.

    The study comes six weeks ahead of the EU Referendum. 

    The figures also show the amount companies in Yorkshire have exported to the EU has been falling in recent years - while exports to the rest of the world have risen.
