People are now lining both sides of the road which runs through the centre of Heckmondwike.
Hundreds of men, women and children are expected to come to the town today to pay their respects to Batley MP Jo Cox.
The cortege is due any time now.

At a memorial in Sr. Peter's church in Birstall, Jo Cox was described as a "21st century Good Samaritan" in a service held to remember her life.
The Rev Paul Knight called her a "fervent advocate for the poor and the oppressed".
Mr Knight told the congregation: "Her humanity was powerful and compelling and we would do well to recognise her as an amazing example, a 21st century Good Samaritan."
Tributes to Jo Cox poured in from politicians and public figures around the world after her death.
US Secretary of State John Kerry said the killing was "an assault on everyone who cares about and has faith in democracy".
Germany's government tweeted, external about the "sad and terrible news of British MP Jo Cox", adding that "our thoughts are with her husband and children".
French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said on Twitter, external that the assassination was an attack on the democratic ideal and called on people to "never accept that!"

Last month a celebration of Jo Cox's life was held in Trafalgar Square on what would have been her 42nd birthday.
Speakers included her husband Brendan as well as Malala Yousafzai and Bill Nighy.

The funeral of the Batley MP who was killed in her constituency takes place today.
Jo Cox who was 41 and married with two young children, died after she was shot and stabbed during an assault in the centre of Birstall.

Jo Cox's funeral will start at approximately 10:30 this morning.
The cortege will follow a route along the A638 in Heckmondwike towards a slow-down point on Westgate/Market Street.
The cortege will then continue towards Batley where shortly after there will be a further slow-down point on Market Place/Cambridge Street before it leaves Batley.
The funeral will be a private service for immediate family only, followed by a function for invited guests.
However, the family have arranged the route in order to allow members of the public to pay their respects.
