Clear spells and scattered showers, possibly wintry over the Pennines for a time tonight. Minimum temperature 0C (32F) with ice on untreated surfaces. 

A much brighter day tomorrow with sunny spells and scattered showers, tending to die away later. Maximum temperature 7C (45F). 

Earlier on I showed you what the Headingley Stadium looked like covered in snow, here it is again but this time you can see it melting.

Strangely satisfying!

Controversial plans to close three Leeds care homes will now go ahead after a city council meeting vote.

Attempts by opposition councillors to force further scrutiny of the plans were heavily defeated this afternoon by the ruling Labour group.

Labour says the reforms are part of a six-year programme to improve adult social care, which is designed to keep people out of hospital.

The three homes are Siegen Manor (pictured), in Morley, The Green in Seacroft and Middlecross, in Armley.

This is slightly bizarre from West Yorkshire Police, but also quite cute at the same time...

"Move your keys".

Temperatures will be getting down as low at -1C tonight, which is probably why this lot are loading up and shipping out.

Leeds City Council say that they're out now treating the roads, they say they'll be out again tomorrow morning at 04:00.

It seems that everyone's leaving work that bit earlier this evening as they try to beat the traffic on the way home.

The grey boxes below show you where there is some congestion. The red box is the accident on the A63 in Micklefield which is closed.

The orange box is a traffic light failure on the A650 at the Fountain Street junction.

As we've been telling you, hundreds of drivers for Arriva in West Yorkshire are set to strike on Monday. The company says that it's disappointed by the planned industrial action by drivers.

The 24 hour strike is due to begin at 03:00, Arriva say that bus services will operate within Yorkshire, with the exception of Yorkshire Tiger services. 

Officers questioning a man arrested in connection with the murder of Hedben Bridge teenager Lindsay Rimer have been granted more time to speak to him.

The 63-year-old man from Bradford was arrested yesterday afternoon. 

Lindsay was last seen on the 7 November 1994 when she went to buy cornflakes from a shop in Hebden Bridge. 

Her body was found weighed down in the Rochdale Canal, five months later. The man in police custody continues to be questioned by detectives.

Two girls have been missing from home in Wakefield for almost two days.

Lisa Eastwood, 14, and Katie Alexander, 17, have not been seen since 19:00 on Monday when they were visiting Xscape in Castleford.

Family and friends have had no contact with them.

Lisa is 5ft tall of an average build with long brown hair. She was wearing denim skinny jeans, a grey Nike hooded top with black patches on the shoulder, a black bandana with white swirls and black Nike trainers when she was last seen.

Katie is 5ft 3in tall of a slim build with medium length bright pink hair.

When she was last seen she was wearing denim jeans, a bright blue Adidas hooded top with a large logo on the front, a grey hooded jacket and black Adidas trainers.　

The girls have links across the country including Leeds, Manchester, Scunthorpe, Birmingham and London.　

Police in Wakefield are now asking for the public to get in touch if they have seen them.

Yorkshire TV presenter Charlie Webster says she feels like "bursting out crying in relief" at reaching her 34th birthday - just months after being on life support in Brazil.

The sports presenter contracted a rare form of malaria in Rio - while on a charity bike ride organised by the charity set-up in memory of fundraiser Jane Tomlinson.

She was treated in the UK at St. James' Hospital in Leeds.

Housing supply - or lack of it - has been a big story in Leeds and West Yorkshire for years. 

Across our region, thousands of people are on local council housing waiting lists, while many people looking to buy their first homes complain they're priced out of the market.

At a full meeting of Leeds City Council which is now under way, the city's two main political groups are due to work together to try and get the market moving. 

Both Labour and the Conservatives, which between them hold more than 80 of the council's 99 seats, will call for property developers who bank land to be fined. 

So-called "land-banking" happens when house builders buy up land for development - but don't do anything with it. 

The council's problem, after today, will be to persuade the government that fining property developers is a good idea.

Property developers say the problem is not with them, but with a slow planning system, and have rejected claims that firms bank land as they're hoping its value will increase.

Hundreds of bus drivers in West Yorkshire are set to strike on Monday in a row over pay and shifts, a union says.

About 850 Arriva drivers working in Castleford, Dewsbury, Heckmondwike, Wakefield and Selby will take part in the walkout, according to the Unite union.

It's claimed they're being asked to drive for up to 5.5 hours without a break.

We're waiting for a response from Arriva.

Yorkshire County Cricket Club has said Headingley Stadium could lose cricket Test matches at the venue after a delay in a £38m plan to renovate the stadium.

We're hearing that the A63 Selby Road in Micklefield is closed in both directions between Peckfield Roundabout and Micklefield Roundabout because of an accident.

Leeds Rhinos say they're disappointed that plans have been delayed to demolish the South Stand at Headingley Stadium.

It's because there have been so many objections to the club selling off land to developers for housing in Tingley and Weetwood. 

A lengthy delay could mean Headingley missing out on test cricket and the Rugby League World Cup. 

I asked Yorkshire Cricket Club's chief executive Mark Arthur for his reaction to the delay:
