    A Bradford schoolgirl who was reported missing has now been found, police say.

    Twelve-year-old Vanessa Sugarova had been reported missing from the Great Horton area on Sunday.

    West Yorkshire Police have thanked everyone who shared the appeal.

    The number of people from ethnic minority backgrounds in West Yorkshire donating organs is at "crisis level" according to senior surgeons at Leeds General Infirmary.

    Just one in eight people from Black and South Asian backgrounds are willing to donate.

    The NHS Yorkshire Organ Donation team has been visiting schools to speak to children about the importance of being on the donation register.

    Another man's been rescued from the River Ouse in York.

    It happened last night near Lendal Bridge.

    The fire service and a rescue boat were called out.

    By the time they arrived police had pulled the man from the water.

    It's the question which has baffled people for hundreds of years: where is Dick Turpin buried?

    The highwayman's prison cell was at York's Castle Museum.

    He was tried and hanged at Tyburn, which is at the Tadcaster Road end of York's Knavesmire.

    There's a headstone for him in St George's graveyard in the city, but this might not be where he is buried.

    Tomorrow morning Sheffield's Joe Root will become the 80th man to captain England's test cricket team as he leads the side for the first time against South Africa at Lords.

    The quality of Sheffield's air is often in the news, so Sheffield City Council has launched a new consultation in an effort to tackle the issue.

    The council could enforce a new by-law to stop cars from 'idling', where vehicles sit stationery with the engines still running.

    Hundreds of holidaymakers have been left disappointed after Leeds based travel firm Jet2 cancelled their holidays to Tenerife.

    It's because a price which was briefly advertised online was too low. They've apologised to customers for the error and for any disappointment and inconvenience caused and offered refunds.

    Steve Hanson isn't happy; he'd booked a trip to the Hard Rock Hotel to celebrate his thirtieth wedding anniversary.

    Huddersfield Town has completed the club record signing of Beninese international striker Steve Mounie from Montpellier.

    The 22 year-old forward joins Town for an undisclosed club record fee and has signed a four-year contract running until the summer of 2021.

    South Yorkshire is getting 12 new police recruits to tackle problem neighbourhoods.

    They'll be based in places like Burngreave, Edlington, Eastwood and Goldthorpe and form part of new scheme starting in September.

    This year's Tour De Yorkshire boosted the economy by almost £64m.

    Research carried out by Leeds Beckett University saw 2.2 million spectators line the route and spend 8% more than last year.

    Most of the people watching the cycle race over the three days were from Yorkshire but the global TV audience reached 9.7 million people.

    The number of fines being issued to people in Yorkshire and the Humber for not paying for their prescriptions has almost doubled in 12 months. Almost one hundred and thirty thousand penalty notices were issued by the NHS in the past year.

    Dr Richard Vautrey from the British Medical Association says the fines often hit those on low incomes, and there should be an overhaul of the prescribing system.

    The Hepworth art gallery in Wakefield is one of five venues vying to be named UK Museum of the Year tonight.

    The gallery's competition includes the Tate Modern in London. The winner of the £100,000 prize will be announced at a ceremony at the British Museum in London.

    The number of people in North Yorkshire,being fined for not paying for their prescriptions has doubled in the last 12 months.

    BBC Radio York has exclusively revealed that more than 11,000 were handed out by the NHS in 2016/17. That's up from nearly 6,000 the year before.

    The NHS says it has a very thorough process in place where prescriptions are checked at volume. But the British Medical Association says sick patients are being penalised unfairly.

    Jenni Cameron from York received a fine of £90 despite being on benefits and exempt from charges.
