Ex-police chief's conduct under High Court scrutinypublished at 09:50 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2017
The conduct of the former Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police will be further scrutinised today on day two of a judicial review at the High Court.
Former Chief Constable, Mark Gilmore, claims West Yorkshire's Police and Crime Commissioner Mark Burns-Williamson acted unlawfully, by failing to complete a disciplinary procedure against him.
A series of misconduct allegations were made against Mr Gilmore in 2014 while he was suspended from duty as a result of a separate investigation into his relationship with a car dealership.
The court heard more than 50 officers had made allegations against Mr Gilmore.
These included abusing overtime payments, making inappropriate sexual comments to female colleagues and asking staff to pick his wife up from the airport.
Mr Gilmore denies all allegations of misconduct and the case continues today.
