A grandmother from Boroughbridge has set herself an ambitious target of growing 5,000 trees by the time she's 85.
Janet Willoner says she has 10 years to do it and it is her way of helping to hopefully stop climate change.
Ms Willoner grows the trees from seed and she says most are them are going to be planted on land that is part of a re-wilding project in Nidderdale.
She told BBC Radio York: "I wanted to do something to help the planet. I didn't want to finish my life and think I'd done nothing to help, I thought that I couldn't face my grandchildren."

Officers were called by ambulance crews after an injured 17-year-old boy was found at the junction of Stoney Rock Lane and Fraser Street in Burmantofts at about 21:30 on Wednesday.
He had serious wounds to his arms and legs and needed hospital treatment, and while his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening they could be "life-changing", police say.
A "large amount" of suspected Class A drugs were found on the teenager and he has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, officers add.
He is thought to have been attacked by four masked males armed with machetes between Shakespeare Approach and Shakespeare Gardens.
A cordon remains in place at the scene as forensic examinations and specialist searches are carried out.
Det Insp Alex Geldard says the incident is being treated "very seriously".
“We are carrying out extensive inquiries to establish the full circumstances and are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any part of the incident or saw those involved in the area," he says.
A woman had to be rescued from her car by a passer-by after her car crashed into several other vehicles in Scarborough, police say.
It happened at about 12:30 on Sunday 31 October on Langdale Road when the car, driven by a woman in her 60s, collided with a number of vehicles along the street.
Concerned about fuel leaking from the vehicle, a passing member of the public rescued the woman - who had suffered minor injuries - following the crash.
The road was closed for about two hours while emergency services cleared the scene.
Anyone who saw what happened, or who has information about the incident, is being asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.

Drivers are being asked for their views on planned changes to one of Yorkshire's biggest motorway junctions.
The Lofthouse interchange roundabout links the M62 and M1 between Leeds and Wakefield.
It was built in the 1960s and now requires regular maintenance to keep it safe.
About 75,000 vehicles use the junction each day, leading to significant queues at peak times - and demand is due to increase over the next 30 years.
Andrew Potter, project manager at National Highways, says: "We want improvements at Lofthouse to benefit those in the area, who use it for commuting to work, or to visit friends, and we want it to benefit local businesses and freight that use it on a regular basis."
Videos of the three options being considered are available on the National Highways website, external.
A public consultation is running until 10 December 2021.
Today, it will begin rather cloudy with a few sharp showers. During the afternoon, cloud will fragment to allow for sunny spells, but the odd shower will linger in places.
Tonight, it will become dry and largely clear for the first part of the night. During the early hours, cloud will gradually build in from the north-west, perhaps bringing the odd spot of rain by dawn.

Plumpton Rocks, near Harrogate, is one of a collection of gardens across Yorkshire painted by JMW Turner in the late 18th Century.
The silting of the lake and tree growth had threatened the site - but it was restored after £700,000 was raised.
The lake has been dredged, repairs have been made to the dam and work was done to manage the trees and vegetation growth.
Restoration work is also being carried out on the parkland.
The site was used as a location in the 2016 film Swallows and Amazons, starring Rafe Spall, Andrew Scott and Kelly Macdonald.
