    Former European Cross Country champion Gemma Steel has decided to focus on the 10,000m rather than the marathon at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

    The Leicestershire athlete, 30, who is the third fastest British woman in history over 10K, is yet to compete at an Olympic or Commonwealth Games. 

    "I'd like to think that the 10,000m on the track would be an attainable and realistic target," said Steel who, finished third in Saturday's Great Edinburgh Cross Country.

    Should you beat Tottenham in next week's FA Cup third round replay, your fourth round game against Colchester will be on TV. 

    It kicks-off at 12:45 on Saturday 30 January and will be shown on BT Sport. 

  7. Bridgen: There could be a 'legal challenge' over freight hubpublished at 17:21

    Here's a little bit more of what Andrew Bridgen has had to say about this massive new freight hub planned for near the M1.

    He said: "There could be a legal challenge to the decision.

    "So, I think there has to be a certain amount of time for that to happen and I'll need to liaise with the potential developers to go and get on with it as soon as that's settled. 

    "They've got to have some tenants to anchor the site so they can get started."

  10. Freight hub can be 'a fulcrum for economic growth'published at 16:00

    The East Midlands Chamber of Commerce has welcomed news about this freight hub being given the go-ahead near the M1. 

    Chris Hobson, the chamber's director of policy, said: “The area between Derby, Nottingham and Leicester is a real sweet spot for infrastructure development, with the potential to become a fulcrum for economic growth in years ahead."

    It's a shock to me. I guess you could say Luke Cowan Dickie's inclusion though is testament to Exeter's good start to the season and their league position.
