He says: "It'll be a tough game. I watched Mark a little bit on the next table and it seemed as though it was a good match and they both played ok.

"I probably need him to play like he did in his first round game and then I'll have half a chance.

"I need to play better than what I'm playing but hopefully if Mark plays well and I play well it'll be a good game."

  2. Dangers of climbing 'part of the fun and beauty of it'published at 08:44 Greenwich Mean Time 18 February 2016

Iain Mackenzie, from Leicester, is a rock climbing specialist and climbed Ben Nevis himself just two weeks ago.

He says: "When you have lots of snow that comes down very quickly it can build up and you get a cornice forming at the top of the ridges.

"Then, when you have temperatures rising and falling as they have been doing the cornices break sending a huge amount of snow down a fragile valley.

"If you are walking at the bottom of any of the gullies, you're not going to stand a chance if one of the cornices from up above goes.

"It can be dangerous but climbers take a measured risk, it's all part of the fun and beauty of it."

Heavy snow, fog and high winds prevented teams from carrying out detailed searches yesterday.

Mountain rescue teams have said they will have to review weather conditions before carrying out further searches today.
