    Plans for hundreds of new homes in Melton have been given the go ahead which means work can begin on new a bypass around the town.

    The council's planning committee approved plans to build 520 new homes on the edge of Melton. 

    The plan includes a contribution by the developer of £4.5m to build the bypass.
