    The Great Central Railway (GCR) has also been speaking about how this new museum will benefit Leicester. 

    "It will help us to further the preservation of the heritage of the GCR whilst at the same time create a new tourist attraction in Leicester," Andy Munro from GCR said.

    "It'll also contribute to the on-going regeneration of the city."

    Once completed in 2021, the building at Leicester North will house some locomotives from the National Railway Museum (NRM, pictured) in York.

    Paul Kirkman, Director of the NRM, said: "We have a number of irreplaceable locomotives which will go on display within the museum. 

    "Famous names like 'Green Arrow' and 'Butler Henderson' deserve to be shown off in a building that is just as iconic, but crucially has to be able to protect the exhibits too."

    Here is what Andy Munro, the chief executive of the Great Central Railway, has had to say about the museum design:

    The museum building will consist of three two storey exhibition halls constructed alongside the existing Leicester North station. 

    A glass wall will allow visitors who arrive by GCR train to see into the museum.

    School children in Leicestershire will start receiving their flu vaccines from today as part of the school immunisation programme.

    The nasal spray is offered to all five-to-11 year olds and Leicester was one of the first in the country to roll out the scheme as an alternative to the injection.
